Highlights and what’s ahead

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and have been enjoying this down time before 2012!  I’m such a fan of the days between Christmas and New Years Day.  Every year, I spend the week cleaning, organizing, and simplifying.  It’s like I am in total “nesting” mode…and, no,  I am notpregnant.  I just love fresh starts.  Or perhaps, it could be the slight OCD tendencies…hmmm.  But, man, do I have quite a list of “organizing” projects to get done around the house.  So much so that I’m not so sure that I can get it all done by the 1st.   I have so many projects on my mind for 2012 and so much to share…I hope you will be along for the ride!

So, I thought I would take a look back at some of my favorite projects that I have featured here and perhaps start a list of all the  some of the things that I would like to accomplish in 2012.

Favorite projects of 2011 that I featured in my little corner of the world wide web (in no particular order):

#1.  Our kitchen makeover/reveal

Hopefully, I will add plenty to this category in 2012, but what a great start with our Rainbow House edition of Blogging to Better.  So many donated items and I think I submerged myself into bow making for a good week.

And I would have to say that my favorite post on here has been the one I wrote about Sam’s mother, Debbie Bodine.  There is just something about that bond between a mother and her children.  I just want my children to know how much I adore and love them.

These two boys are the best things that have ever happened to me and they have filled my life with so much love, joy and hope.

So, those are my favorite highlights of the blog from this year and I appreciate all the support, comments, compliments, and all of you who check out Scout & Nimble on a regular basis.  It has been one of the most fun things that I have done and I have had a blast meeting so many new people and being inspired in all that blog land has to offer.  Thank you so much and I hope you will join me in 2012!

Wanna know some of the things that need to get checked off the project list for 2012?

  • Henry’s room makeover
  • Pantry…I’m embarrassed to even show the before…trust me…it’s bad
  • Office area
  • Master Bedroom redo
  • More Blogging to Better
  • I must finish my 1920’s quilt that my mom helped me start
  • Makeover a friends living room

Seriously, that is just a few things…my list is ridiculous.  Insane ridiculous.  Seriously, Sam might freak out if he reads this.  Love you honey!

So how are you guys spending your last few days of 2011?  Any of you nesting and not pregnant?  😉
