Holy smokes…I cannot believe that 2013 is long gone. I know it is so cliche to say how fast time flies, but, you guys, I literally have no idea where the last few weeks went! I meant to pop on here and wish you all a Merry Christmas and do a little wrap up of my favorite projects & moments of 2013 and, well, it just didn’t happen! Go ahead, call me a slacker…I can handle it. & if there was something you meant to do before the New Year or during the month of December that you just plain didn’t get to, don’t beat yourself up…join the club! 😉 Perfection is totally overrated.
I do so hope you all had wonderful holidays with family & friends and were able to ring in the New Year with the people you love. That is by far what is most important in my book. As for what’s ahead in 2014…you guys…I have such insanely BIG news. (No, I’m not pregnant.) I know I have teased you to death over this and it will be something I can share in just a few short weeks! Ahhhh! I.cannot.wait. This is something I have dreamt many of nights about and let me tell you, it has not been the easiest of roads. There have been many hills and valleys on this journey over the past year and most of the time I was scared to death. Have you heard the saying “feel the fear and do it anyway”…ya, that was pretty much my mantra.
I still feel that fear, probably more so than ever since it is so close to being “out in the open”. There are butterflies dancing all around my tummy just thinking about it now and I promise you all, you will be the first to hear about it…soon. ahhhhh!?!?!? Very soon!
So, it might make sense that I decided my word of the year for 2014 is Trust. Nothing feels more rock solid for me than that word & all that it entails. It’s time to let go of the reins, stop trying to control every little detail, to take a deep breath and trust. This is easier said than done for me and I believe I said this word no less than 20 times today.
What about you all? Did you make any resolutions? Do you have a word of the year? Or are you one that makes no resolutions. I love hearing everyone’s take on a clean slate. Share away!
