If you follow me on Instagram (scoutandnimble), then you know I have collected quite a bit of Christmas decor over the years.  I ended up going with a little more traditional theme this year and kept it mainly red and white.

One of my favorite tricks to turning grapevine wreaths into garland…it adds so much volume and texture to the tree…especially if you are going the faux route.

When I found out I was expecting my first boy, who will be turning 6 soon, I decided that I would cross stitch him a Christmas stocking.  Little did I know how time consuming it would actually be…it took me a little over a year…as in over 365 days.  :/  Needless to say, I have yet to cross stitch another for any one else in the family.

I love these angel wings that I made for the boys.  I originally made them for Valentine’s Day, but they definitely fit in with the holiday decor, too, and there is nothing like seeing your little angels eating at the table.

The tree above is, by far, my favorite tree in the house.  It has every handmade ornament that my boys have created, some of my husband’s childhood ornaments, and ones that my aunt collected each year for me since the year I was born…she gave them to me as a wedding gift…talk about a special little tree.

Gosh, it’s all so incredibly pretty. I want to come to a Christmas party ;)
Love all the red and the natural elements! Gorgeous!

  2. Love it Jesse! I especially love that grapevine garland, it really does add so much texture and volume! I also love your sentimental tree, we are going to have to start doing that!

  3. LOVE that star garland! i love it all, jesse! i wish you lived right next door so we could hang out and style each others houses and braid each others hair.

  4. Love all your special Christmas touches, like the little red stars in your garland. I had to laugh about the cross-stitched stocking, because I did the same thing for my son–and it DID take 365 days! (and it’s also the only one!)

  5. Oh Jesse…everything is just so lovely and perfect!!!! I love how the grapevine garland looks on your tree. Oh and the angel wings and the birch logs. Oh and the fact that you have THREE gorgeous trees!!!! Ack! You’re making me feel like running out for another tree :-)

  7. I love a red and white Christmas! I love traditional Christmas decor and colors! I always need a little red in mine! All of your tress are so pretty! This might have inspired me to get more than one :). I also love the little angel wings! They were so cute in that IG pic you took with the boys sitting at the table!!

  8. SO in love with it all…as usual..bravo, Jessie! Great job! Hugs to you…and so happy to be joining you and all of these girls for this home tour series! So fun!

  9. ah man, your Christmas decor is spot on! my husband would be so jealous if he saw all your trees scattered around your home. He begs for at least 3 trees ever year LOL. One day it will happen haha. I also LOVE the angel wings on the back of your dining room chairs, they’re the perfect touch! Great work! and as always, your home looks incredible.

  18. I just love how your tree is wrapped in twigs. I was hoping to accomplish something like that this year, but I ran out of time and motivation (not to mention a place to get the wood).
